Unique Gift Idea – Put an Echo Plum in Every Room
Most people buy one and then, instantly fall in love with this. We did. That same Christmas we bought four & wrapped them. EVERYONE GOT AN ALEXA. One of the most under-used functions of Alexa is that it can play a song genre like 1980's pop or 1960's soul or 1990's rap – this device will play any genre AND most times, list the lyrics to the song as it plays.
Also, you can set timers and reminders. I use the timer twice a day in the kitchen and reminders for any business ideas, appointments or follow-ups. Just say – Alexa, set a reminder or Alexa, set a timer for ten minutes.
Last week, we went to a Christmas party & they had the “tower” Alexa playing party music. Then, people started telling it to play their favorite song & instantly, the party became more fun.
The Comfy – The Oversized Sherpa Blanket
Let's be honest, she likes to get warm and curl up to a good movie or book (or some alone time). This is the gift to get her. I was in Vegas last week and I probably saw over 30 girls wearing these oversized blankets to stay warm. That might be the “con”… haha.
When you click on this link, you can select the hoodie or the blanket version AND then, pick your color.
The Everyday Gift for Everyday Meals
This year, I've been cooking a ton of recipes since my 75-year old aunt moved in. She has stage five Alzheimer's and I'm looking for improvement recipes. Anything that will help improve this condition. We splurged a bit on the Vitamix after seeing the demonstration at the State Fair of Texas.
I have to say – I'm super impressed. I now use it for everything from smoothies to sauces to home-made peanut butter, this is my new secret weapon. Trust me on this one, she will LOVE this gift because she's secretly wanting it right now. That makes it a must-have gift for her. (or him since I do all the cooking in my household)
The Best Posture Fixer is the Best Gift
Since this is perfect for both him & her, I included it on this list. This one might seem not as impressive until you think about it. If you or your partner are in front a computer or work at a desk job, chances are your shoulders start protruding forward as well as your back starts rounding off. You know you have to fix that posture now. This is a nagging thought that keeps coming up and certainly makes this a unique gift idea for him (or her).
The posture fixer ranks as the one of the top gifts under $20. So you could even get this for your Office Christmas Party gift exchange and watch people fight over it.
The Unique Gift for Him & Her is Ancestry DNA
Another unique gift idea? How many times have you looked at each other & said we should do the ancestry DNA test? My friends and I all had our DNA tests done this year, and shockingly, my friend found her biological dad (she's adopted). Then, through her bio dad, she found her brother. And, now they are inseparable. This all started with the 23andMe DNA test. I'm adding this to my must-have gift ideas for 2019.
Unique Gift Idea: Give a Blog as a Gift
Does your partner have a hobby like cars or tech or games or yoga? Then, tell your partner you want to start a side hustle for 2020 and create a passive income. You create content and distribute it through your channels like your blog, your YouTube, your TikTok channel and monetize it through affiliate marketing.
