Happy New Year, Super Affiliates. Let's make the 2020's roar again. If you've been following our blogging series, then, I wanted to start out with a free download – the blogging editorial calendar template.
If you're new to blogging or have been blogging a while, then, you will find out that planning your quarters in advance is the most important step in growing your blog & scaling your business.
You will find that you need a good blog editorial calendar. I personally like to use Google Sheets & Google Docs & G-Suite for all my planning because it's easy to invite your authors and team to a pre-planning session without paying a high monthly fee.

If you're looking to start a blog, make sure you follow our “how to start a blog” tutorial. Then, you can create blog posts and affiliate offers in advance using this massive list of niche specific calendar days. You can pre-publish your blog posts and hit the “scheduler”. This will save you a ton of time and energy in the long run.
What is a Blog Editorial Calendar
A blog editorial calendar is a visual workflow that helps your team of content creators schedule their work on a daily, weekly, monthly and even, yearly basis. Blog editorial calendars can help you plan & track campaigns, content curriculum while distributing the work to different authors. You can also set editing dates & publishing dates for specific content that will help scale your business.

What's Included with the Blog Editorial Calendar Template

When you download the blog editorial calendar template, you will see tabs at the bottom. The first page will give you instructions while the second tab (as seen in the pic) lists out the entire year.
If you need a bird's eye view of your annual campaigns, this is the place. I like using this page to detail our any newsletter ideas and holiday specific affiliate marketing campaigns that will be running for that month. There are times when I have a winner for a particular time period that I need to remember next year. I'll add it to this page.

How to Use Your Blog Editorial Calendar
When you download the template, it will open up in Google sheets. Make a Copy Before you Begin
First, go to File → Make a Copy and save this template to your Google Drive so that you can customize to your liking.
If you don't see the menu, log-in to your Google account first and refresh this screen. You can also download this calendar as an Excel file.

You can edit, delete & add any tabs that you want. I like to add tabs for specific brainstorming with different team members. That way, we can detail how frequently to publish content & what types of content to distribute (YouTube, Podcast, TikTok, Linked In are all pulling the best free right now and then, Google / Facebook ads are pulling the best paid).
Setup Your Annual Planner
Open the sheet entitled Annual Planner Choose your Monthly Themes from row 5 and write them into row 3.

Then hide rows 6 and 7 from view (so you can focus on your priorities and not be distracted). Hide row 4 from from view (if you haven't done so already).

Scope out your key campaigns In rows 12-22, list some of the key campaigns you'll implement throughout the year. Be sure to include when you'll start building the campaign and when it will be live for your prospects/ leads/ customers.
