For the past three years, I have been using Aweber to build lists.  Some marketers are moving past the double opt-in verification system, and switching to Get Response.  With the new laws of spam, I do NOT want to recommend anything that will bring negative attention to yourself.  I recommend the double opt-in so you can avoid SPAM complaints.  I recommend that you try ALL the different ways to build your list, but FIRST, you need a autoresponder service.  I highly recommend:

I remember hearing a long time ago that 80% of your PROFITS will come from 20% of your customers.  It’s time to start building relationships, and the way you do that is through the power of LISTS.  How do you capture leads?  There are many ways to capture leads:

1)  Offer a free e-book

2)  The Squeeze Page (a page before your site that says, "Would you like to visit my site?") 

3)  Newsletters

4)  PREFERRED METHOD:  The Co-Registration Method - Now I’m sure you’ve seen this method but were not aware of it.  Here’s what happens:  You pay the BIG GUYS to add your opt-in link to their opt-in page.  For example, when you sign up for hotmail, the next page lists all the magazines and newsletters that you can subscribe to.  Those are companies who paid hotmail to build their co-registration opt-in list.  It’s a GREAT way to build a HUGE list FAST!
