My New Home

This is it!

I can’t believe how easy buying a house is.  I have heard many many horror stories and MY PURCHASE was a breeze.  I told myself that it’s time to BUY my first home in January 2007.  I told the realtors that whoever delivers probably will get the sale.  I knew that I could spend a lot of time looking at "cookie-cutter" house after house.  I did NOT want to waste anyone’s time.

After two days of looking, I found my DREAM home!  The house was featured in D magazine (Dallas Magazine) for its architecture.  It’s in the heart of Dallas situated in a family-oriented neighborhood (very quiet and no traffic).

I put the contract in and was frantic for the rest of the day.  I drove by the home three more times after I submitted the contract.  I think it was priced a little low for the neighborhood and for what I had already seen previously (9 cookie-cutter houses).  They countered back almost at full-price and I did NOT hesitate to sign the counter.

The inspector was out two days later.

A repair agreement was signed the next day.

The appraisal came back $5000 more than what I paid for it.  (Hey! I have equity)

The closing is set.

I’m ready to move into my first home!

AND HERE IS THE VIEW FROM MY BEDROOM:
